fishwife, a newer brand with a strong emphasis on sustainability, has been making its way onto the shelves of many grocery stores. as an avid shark tank viewer, i was already familiar with the brand and intrigued by its story. so, when i spotted a can on sale, i couldn’t resist picking it up—especially with its eye-catching packaging. curiosity got to the best of me.

i decided to make a tuna melt with some sourdough bread, cheddar cheese, kewpie mayo, and of course, the star of the show, fishwife’s canned albacore tuna.

i took a little nibble of the tuna on its own to gauge what i thought of the product. the spice was very subtle, but had good flavor.
pros: flaky, slight spice, good quality tuna
cons: a bit on the pricier side. i paid $5.99 and that was a sale price.
would i buy again?… yes, but only at a discounted price.
hmm out of 5 stars, i would give it a solid 3.5. i love the story behind the product, but i feel like the price point could be better. not a budget item, so if you wanna splurge, go for it! ദ്ദി(˵ •̀ ᴗ – ˵ ) ✧
